Andrea Lewis, D.O.
I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and spent many summers, in Colorado, camping with my family. After completing an undergraduate degree in Genetics and a Masters in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound from the University of Missouri Columbia, my partner, cats, and I moved to Denver in 2004. I spent many years doing cardiac ultrasound in local hospitals before deciding to learn more about how I could help encourage health and prevent disease. I went back to school and completed a Masters in Public Health from the University of Colorado Denver and then went on to earn my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Touro University California.
For residency, I chose Osteopathic family medicine because it allows me to work with a diverse group of patients and their families. While completing a residency at Southern Colorado Family Medicine in Pueblo, Colorado, my training reinforced how much Osteopathic principles and practice could help patients. I enjoy treating patients of all stages of life, from newborns to geriatric, including helping women with the musculoskeletal changes of pregnancy. Focusing on Osteopathy and Neuromuscular medicine gives me the great opportunity to team up with patients and their families to balance physical, mental, and spiritual health, in the best kind of medicine. I am excited to be joining Rocky Vista University Health Center/Sky Ridge Medical Center in OMM/NMM.
