Samuel Hager, DO
Samuel Hager is an osteopathic physician who specializes in hands-on care known as Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (ONMM). Dr. Hager earned his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, IA, where he received the Clinical Discipline Award in Osteopathic Manual Medicine and held membership in the Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society.
Dr. Hager completed his post-graduate training in ONMM in Las Cruces, NM. During his time there, he served as Chief Resident and helped develop the program’s musculoskeletal ultrasound curriculum. Nationally, he represented his fellow residents on the Review Committee for ONMM, a component of the American Council for Graduate Medical Education. Dr. Hager is a member of the American Academy of Osteopathy, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Osteopathic Cranial Academy. He currently serves as Assistant Professor of Osteopathic Principles and Practice at Rocky Vista University in Parker, CO, where he assists with educating medical students and guiding osteopathic research. He is also Core Faculty for the ONMM residency program at Rocky Vista Health Center.
Dr. Hager has sought additional training in hands-on osteopathic treatment. He has attended courses on the Fascial Distortion Model, Biodynamics of Osteopathy, oscillatory percussive treatment, as well as multiple osteopathic cranial manipulation courses. Dr. Hager has professional interests in musculoskeletal ultrasound, cranial manipulative medicine, and pediatric manual medicine.
