Emily Gibson, DO

Dr. Emily Gibson, DO grew up near Detroit, Michigan. After a high school competitive marching band injury (yes, really), Dr. Gibson was introduced to osteopathic manipulative medicine, which quickly and effectively managed her pain and allowed her to get back to the activities she enjoyed. She knew that as a doctor, she would want to care for people in the same way. Dr. Gibson is a 2020 graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan. In combining her passions for women’s health with osteopathic manipulative medicine, she completed 3 years of an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency in Metro Detroit, and also a residency in neuromusculoskeletal medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, the birthplace of Osteopathic Medicine.

After her training, she moved to Aurora, CO, where she works as an assistant professor of Osteopathic Principles and Practices at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She also practices osteopathic manipulative medicine at Rocky Vista Health Center with a focus on pelvic pain, newborn feeding disorders, and migraines. Her desire is to help her patients live their lives to the fullest.

In her spare time, she tends to a jungle of houseplants at home, and a community garden plot. She likes thrifting at Arc, and spending time with her friends and family watching Ghibli films, baking, and working on creative projects.
